Welcome Back!

We hope you had a good summer? We are looking forward to the start of the new year and ensuring we build on the strong results achieved by our (ex) Year 11 students in the summer. To ensure a smooth start to term we would appreciate your support in ensuring that your son and/or daughter arrives at school in the correct uniform. If students are not wearing the correct uniform they will be asked to return home and change into the correct uniform before entering the school.

GCSE Results 2019

Students at Priory School have produced some magnificent GCSE results this year. There have been exceptional achievements in many subjects including English, Maths, Sciences, Languages, History, Geography, Dance, PE, Art and Music. Executive Headteacher Tony Smith commented: “Congratulations to the students, parents and staff on a wonderful set of results this year. The high grades achieved are just reward for their commitment to hard work and perseverance throughout their time at Priory School. There has been considerable uncertainty surrounding the recent reforms to GCSE, which have meant that it is harder than ever to achieve higher grades.  Our students have responded admirably to the challenge of the revised specifications with 38% achieving at least one grade 8 and/or 9 across the range of subjects taken. 80% achieved at least a grade 4 in both maths and English. We are delighted that so many students exceeded their personal targets. We wish all our ex-students the best of luck for the future whatever they pursue!”

GCSE Results Collection

Students will be able to collect their GCSE results from school between 10am - midday on Thursday 22 August. Ideally students will be able to collect their results in person, however if this is not possible, any uncollected results will be posted home that afternoon, first class, to the address held on record by the school. If you have recently moved, please ensure you have informed us before Friday 19 July. In exceptional circumstances, and only with prior notification from the student, results can be collected by a parent. Students must write a letter to the Exams Officer stating who will collect their results. The letter should be signed by the student, and all letters requesting this must be received by the Exams Officer by Thursday 18 July. An email will not be sufficient. The parent must bring photographic id with them on 22 August. Students cannot collect results for other students. Please email the Exams Officer Ms Harris if you have any questions.
