The Governors wish to appoint Principal Lunchtime Supervisors who will be employed on a permanent or casual basis to supervise students during lunchtimes. The lunchtime period is 5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (term-time) from 1.00 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. The rate of pay is £12.85 per lunchtime session (Single Status Grade 3, point 7) the actual yearly is £2,894.

From September 2026 to July 2027
Priory School is a happy and thriving Secondary School based in Lewes, East Sussex. It is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The Governors are seeking to appoint 2 temporary Teaching Assistants, (from September 2026 until July 2027), a full-time and part-time role experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs and in particular, students with Autism.
These positions are based on the main school site and within the Oak Centre (ASC Support Centre). The roles include supporting Oak students in mainstream lessons, as well as supporting at the Oak Centre. You may be required to deliver Primary and Secondary level 1:1 and small group lessons at the Oak Centre. You will be working with outstanding SEN professionals and teachers.
This role is suitable for candidates who:
- Are confident, motivated and dedicated
- Are able to demonstrate proactive behaviour management skills and adaptable teaching styles
- Have good academic qualifications and enhanced people skills
The actual yearly salary for the full-time role is £17,642 to £17,921 and for working 2 days a week (12 hours) the actual yearly salary is £7,056 to £7,168 (39 working weeks, 6.05 holiday weeks, 45.05 total paid weeks). The hours of work are 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time. The grade is Grade 4, Scale point 9-10, £25,185 to £25,583.

The Governors wish to appoint Teaching Assistants (fixed term, from September 2026 until July 2027) to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students. Ideal candidates would have some experience of working with students with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties. An interest in supporting students with Maths would be an advantage but not essential.
The hours of work are 30 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time (plus inset days). The actual salary is £17,642 to £17,921 a year (39 working weeks, 45.05 paid weeks a year). The salary is based on Single Status, Grade 4, spinal points 9 to 10, £25,185 to £25,583. If you would prefer to work less than 30 hours a week, please include this in your application.

The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, talented, committed and inspiring Teacher of Geography, on a part time (0.8 FTE), temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave from November 2026.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4.
The successful applicant will:
- Have a commitment to high expectations;
- Have the ability to inspire and challenge students;
- Develop targeted learning resources to support the diverse make up of the student body;
- Have a proven track record of impacting upon students' learning;
- The ability to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4 and a least one other humanities subject at KS3;
- Have a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Have Qualified Teacher Status;
The salary grade is Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale £32,916 to £51,048. The post would be suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher.
