Are you an exceptional organiser with a passion for supporting leadership and driving operational excellence? The Governors are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Executive Assistant & Office Manager to provide vital secretarial and administrative support to our Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, and Governing Body.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Ensure the efficient running of the Headteacher’s office with full secretarial and organisational support.
- Coordinate administrative tasks and procedures to optimise leadership time and effectiveness.
- Liaise with the Clerk to Governors in order to manage Governor-related work.
- Support school-wide compliance and regulatory administration.
- Foster strong communication and working relationships with staff, students, and external contacts.
- Oversee the delivery of administrative support across the school, ensuring high standards and alignment with school priorities.

The actual salary is £28,381 to £30,293 a year for 37 hours a week, term time, inset days and 5 days in the holidays. (40 working weeks, 6.20 holiday weeks, total paid weeks a year, 46.20). The salary grade is Single Status Grade 9, spinal column points 23-25, £32,030-£34,188.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS (term time)
Priory School is a happy and thriving Secondary School based in Lewes, East Sussex. It is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The Governors are seeking to appoint temporary Teaching Assistants (until July 2026), experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs and in particular, students with Autism.
These positions are based within the Oak Centre (ASC Support Centre) and on the main school site. The roles include supporting the Oak Lead teacher and HLTA with leading classes within the facility, as well as supporting children and their class teachers with differentiating activities within mainstream lessons. You will be working with outstanding SEN professionals and teachers.
These roles are suitable for candidates who:
- Are confident, proactive and dedicated
- Are able to demonstrate creative behaviour management skills and teaching styles
- Have good academic qualifications and people skills
The actual yearly salary is £17,094 to £17,364 (39 working weeks, 6.05 holiday weeks, 45.05 total paid weeks). The hours of work are 30 hours a week term time only 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. The grade is Grade 4, Scale point 9-10, £24,404 to £24,790.

Exam Invigilators (Casual)

Examination Invigilators (Casual)

The Governors wish to appoint Examination Invigilators who will be employed on a casual basis to supervise students taking internal and external examinations throughout the academic year. The hourly rate of pay is £12.26 an hour.
Full training will be provided and staff will be contacted prior to the exam period to discuss the invigilation schedule in relation to their own availability ideally you would need to be available during the main exam periods from; 11 – 22 November, 24 – 28 February, 7 May to 27 June plus other dates for training and smaller exams. The lunchtime period is Monday to Friday (term-time) from 1.15 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. and the rate of pay is £12.45 per lunchtime session (Single Status Grade 3, point 7) if working Monday to Friday, the actual yearly salary is £2,805.
