Lead Teacher – AUTISM Support

Teachers Pay Scale – MPS/UPS plus SEN 2 allowance

To Start in September 2020

 

Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake.  The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a permanent, full-time, Lead Teacher for the AUTISM support facility to start in September 2020. 

 

The role will be to lead the AUTISM facility team and to carry out the planning and assessment of children with AUTISM and associated learning difficulties, working jointly with key professionals from a range of services, both within and outside of ISEND Provider Services.

 

The successful applicant will have the:

 

  • Qualified teacher status with an additional accredited post graduate qualification in speech, language and communication/Dyslexia/Autism qualification recognized by the BDA (ATS/AMBDA level).
  • Ability to assess children and young people in the areas of AUTISM and associated learning difficulties, provide detailed support plans and programmes of intervention work in schools.
  • Excellent communication skills and clear effective assessment skills. With experience of working collaboratively with other staff and agencies and advising school colleagues on supporting children and young people with AUTISM.
  • Proven ability of Line Managing others and able to demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyse and problem solve, actively contributing to raising performance of children and young people with SEND.
  • Recent substantial experience of working with children and young people with specific and complex needs (e.g. language and literacy needs) and evidence of successful outcomes.

 

The salary grade is Teachers Pay Scale, MPS/UPS, £24,373 to £40,490 plus SEN 2 allowance, £4,359 a year.

A dynamic and self-motivated Learning Resources Manager/Librarian. The successful applicant will develop and maintain the school Library as a vibrant area for individual study and supporting students. Learning Resources is overseen by the Deputy Headteacher, forming part of the wider School curriculum and also involves supporting students through careers provision.

 

The salary is Single Status grade 5, Points 12 - 13, £19,171 to £19,554, actual salary £16,838 to £17,175 a year for 37 hours per week working term time, plus 5 extra days in the school holidays.

REQUIRED FROM SEPTEMBER 2020

Priory is a very successful school, graded “Good” by OFSTED. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake.

The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a female Teacher of PE, (0.6 FTE Wednesday to Friday), with a dynamic and innovative approach to the teaching of the practical and theory aspects of the subject.

The ability to offer high quality Sport lessons to KS3 and KS4 CORE will be required. We are seeking to appoint someone that is fully committed to our busy extra-curricular programme, including clubs and fixtures. The post will involve teaching mixed gender and ability groups.
 
The department is well-established and successful, delivering a broad and balanced National Curriculum programme across Key Stages 3 and 4.  In Key Stage 4 the department currently offers GCSE PE (full course), and the Cambridge National Level 1/2 in Sports Studies.
